Carnaval is a party that happens all over the world, but without doubt the best one is in Brazil. The Salinas collection expresses the feeling of the real carnival; the freedom, contemporary and provocative. Drawings by J. CARLOS, Brazil's greatest visual chronicler from the fabulous 20's, depicting swimmers in bathing costumes, playing in the sunshine, and carnival groups having fun and partying all over the streets of Rio during summertime.

The prints reveal an explosion of colours in a very explicit way. Cheerful inspirations. with suggestive names.

PARATODOS reproduces the magazine covers of 1927 to 1930, with J.Carlos illustrations.
AQUALOUCO: baubles and stripes that recall the swimming costumes of the period.
MARDI: coloured geometry from the mardigras costumes.
SERPENTINE: long and curly stripes like serpentine rolls.
MONOGRAM: Art-deco characters, and symbols.
DOMINO: a mix of pois, small color mosaics, and diamonds reminiscent of the eternal pierrots, harlequins, and colombines.
LOLLA: the pois and the confettis. Ball: inspired by the magic and the characters of the carnival parties.

And more balls, hearts, stars, flowers, all mixed with the unique magic found in the street carnival.

The colors have special new names - fun red, yellow joy, fantasy green, purple crepon, pink lipstick. Bright and vivid colors.

The fantasy occurs in every detail. Micro pompons, laces and bows, pleated flounces and frills, elastic in metalic colors and mini skirts that you can add or take off. Buttons in heart shapes, finishing details and necklines. Regarding the shapes, look out for the innovations in larger bikinis; bikini-skirts to arrive at the beach together with swimsuit dresses. Another very strong presence: the almost two-piece bikini with a higher waist and miniskirt pants. New mixtures of materials are also featured: Soft-Gum®, netting, light cotton, viscose with LYCRA®, New Touch® with a smoother touch, ultra light and the LYCRA® lingerie, bringing about new styling. Looser but not loosing any of the sensuality.
